At Beyond Our Vitals, we take your privacy seriously — and we mean that. You are trusting us with information about the people you love most. We do not take that lightly. We have tried to write this in plain language, not legal language, because you deserve to understand exactly what is going on.
1. What information we collect
When you sign up for early access, we collect your email address only. That's it.
When you use the app, you may choose to enter health information — such as medication lists, vital readings, appointment notes, and care contacts — for the person you are caring for. This information is stored securely and belongs entirely to you.
We may also collect basic, anonymous usage data (such as which features are used most) to help us improve the app. This data is never linked to you personally.
2. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data — ever, to anyone, under any circumstances.
- We do not share your health information with insurance companies, employers, or advertisers.
- We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising.
- We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
- We do not use health data you enter in the app to make decisions about your coverage, credit, or employment.
- We do not send you spam. One email when we launch, if you signed up for early access. That's it.
3. How we use your information
Your email address is used only to notify you when Beyond Our Vitals launches and to send you information directly related to your account — nothing else.
The health information you enter in the app is used solely to power the features you choose to use: your Daily Health Log, Care Team Directory, Appointment Ready summaries, and food tracking. It is your information, organized for you.
Anonymous, aggregated usage data helps us understand which features are most helpful so we can keep improving the experience for caregivers.
4. How we protect your information
We take security seriously. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard practices. We use reputable, secure cloud services and limit access to your data strictly to what is necessary to operate the app.
No system is perfectly invulnerable, and we will never promise otherwise — but we work hard to keep your information safe and will always notify you promptly if anything changes.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct anything that is inaccurate, and request that we delete it entirely. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, simply email us at hello@beyondourvitals.com and we will take care of it promptly.
If you signed up for early access and would like to be removed from that list, just let us know. We will remove you immediately, no questions asked.
6. Children's privacy
Beyond Our Vitals is designed for adult caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information in error, please contact us at hello@beyondourvitals.com and we will delete it immediately.
7. Third-party services
Beyond Our Vitals uses a small number of trusted third-party services to operate — for example, secure cloud storage and email delivery. These providers are contractually required to handle your data only as we direct and never for their own purposes.
We do not embed third-party advertising networks, social media trackers, or analytics tools that share data with outside companies.
8. Changes to this policy
If we ever need to update this privacy policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. If the changes are significant, we will notify you directly by email.
We will never make changes that contradict the core commitments above — particularly our commitment to never sell your data — without clearly explaining why and giving you the chance to leave.
